Ghana’s TEN Oil field project commence commercial oil flow

Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC), one of the partners for the Tweneboa, Enyenra and Ntomme- TEN Oil field project has announced the commencement of commercial oil flow from the field. The oil flow is expected to aid the country’s energy crisis in its quest to become one of Africa’s thriving economies.

Yesterday, President John Mahama, turned on the valves of the John Evans Atta Mills FPSO to mark the commencement of the commercial oil production of the TEN field. Till end of this year, the field is expected to produce more than 23, 000 barrels of oil per day on average.

The plant is expected to boost the automotive industry and eventually the economy of the country.

BON Hotels which is a hospitality company owning, marketing and managing hotels throughout Africa, has extended its footprint in Africa with new hotel in Ethiopia.

BON Hotel Addis Ababa is the name of the property which is under construction. The BON Hotel in Ethiopia is expected to be open to the public in the first quarter of 2017. It is located just 10 minutes from the new Addis Ababa Bole International Airport and the city centre and will target the corporate, leisure and conference travellers.

Construction of Kenya’s first double decker highway to begin in earnest

Construction of Kenya’s first double decker highway has received the much needed impetus after the World Bank agreed to finance the project. The highway is aimed at decongesting the city.

The road, Kenya’s first double decker highway, is expected to link Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) and Nairobi-Nakuru highway. Construction is set to begin by the end of 2016.
